Fixation of the Month: Verdura Cuff

when I say Fixation of the Month - for this one I actually mean lifetime - coz Verdura Cuff will probably always be on my wish list. I initially thought that the Verdura cuff was designed by Coco Chanel herself. It turns out that Chanel summoned the Duke of Verdura to design this legendary accessory. He created his first batch in 1930 and used the Maltese Cross as a base design. Each cross was generously adorned with sapphires, rubies, diamonds and cultured pearls.

Original Jade Cuff by the Duke of Verdura

Few of us can afford an original or new limited edition cuff by Verdura, so I found a substitute which will do for now )P:

I’d love to have this beautiful black enamel cuff by Kenneth-jay-lane. It really is a wider and Swarowski-covered version of an original Verdura.

DREAM: Limited Edition Cuffs by Verdura - $27000 and up

The cuffs above are limited edition made by Verdura jewellers. Both pieces are sprinkled with precious stones galore: emeralds, sapphires, rubies, amethysts, topaz, and much more.
The Maltese Cross cuff in yellow gold retails for $27000, while the Fulco Cuff in white gold is $65000. Like I said...it will be awhile until I save up for these.
