Do our material possessions really matter?
Reading Ellememoir in Elle UK June edition got me thinking: Do stuff and our possessions really matter? Some people might say no and that all material objects are worthless. Much like the author of Ellememoir I'm of different opinion. Gifts we get from those we love, things we buy, and all the stuff we accumulate over the years - does matter. I treasure the ring my grandmother gave me and think of her every time I wear it. I'm very proud of my ridiculously expensive pair of Prada boots I bought with my first big pay check. I'm smitten with my gorgeous espresso set mum got for me: each time I use it I think of her lessons in good table manners and each time I smile. It's all stuff but to me stuff anchors moments in time and helps remember. Life is not only about big joyous events, which are very rare. Often happiness is comprised of little things like a good luck card from a friend in difficult times and 5 inch Louboutins which make me look and feel a million dollars. To me life is about little joys and stuff we surround ourselves with, matters greatly.

Look of the Day: Keri Russell in Givenchy and Roger Vivier
Keri's look is timeless! This look sums up my personal style or the style I aspire to :). Love her classic Jean Paul Gaultier's capris, Givenchy blazer and most of all, those Roger Vivier shoes.I found a great selection of Roger Vivier on Farfetch.com and have been pining over these grey suede pumps .....yet another temptation...

Oddity of the Day: Breathable Chocolate? What?
Lewhif tube inhaler comes in mint, raspberry and milk chocolate flavors and it has less than 1 calorie per puff. Seriously ladies - if you're addicted to chocolate - last thing you want is to sniff some chocolate aroma and build up your appetite. I say - No thank you - I'll have a Tic Tac!

I want Georgia May's gorgeous blouse, cute shorts and her pins! is it too much to ask for?Photo: glamourmagazine.co.uk
Hot Label Alert: Max C
I discovered British Max C label awhile back and have been a big fan ever since. Its my to-go-to shop for cute cardis and blouses. This summer season they are all about retro dresses (picture Christopher Kane SS RTW) and cute blouses. I would go for the grey leopard print dress (£42) & red poodle dress (£23) pictured above.

Style Hit or Miss: Striped Blazer
MISS: Gwen Stefani in her own labelOK - so Gwen is a real hipster and constantly pushes the envelope with her outfit choices, but this one is a total disaster! Forget the color combinations - I could forgive those. What I can't understand is the shape of this suit - way too old school and definitely not Harajuku. White tights got to go too...
HIT: Whitney Port in DVFI love how this beautiful striped blazer and girly summer dress go together. And I particularly love Whitney's shoes! This is my favorite DVF number to date!
Economize vs Fantasize: Ruffle Dress
Asos Black Dress: £120This gorgeous Asos Black dress has been featured in pretty much every magazine this month. It's no Valentino, but with all the volume and frills it creates the same va va voom effect! Wear it with black strappy sandals like Camille Belle and you'll have a knockout outfit!

Purchase of the Month: Jade Cocktail Ring
I found a little piece of heaven in Dublin city center: Rebecca Davis costume jewelry & accessories shop. It's located in Wesbury Mall and If I could I would spend hours in there! The owner Rebecca has a good selection of one of a kind pieces. I finally decided on this gorgeous jade ring! I wore it yesterday and everyone kept commenting how stunning it is! Check out Rebecca's website, which is currently getting a makeover. Oh and btw, they stock Nina Divito's sketches ..sigh...

J'adore this outfit! Looking at the dress I'm getting a slight flashback of Valentino S/S RTW 2010, but still freaking in love with it! Christian Siriano is proving that there is life after Project Runway - koodos :)

Economize vs Fantasize: Organza Dress
Fantasize: Christopher Kane
Economize: Asos
I'm all about Whitney's Christopher Kane outfit! Love the organza see-through detail and bustier top! At the moment Asos has the best selection of organza mini dresses. I particularly like the above pink frock, although this purple bustier dress is a bold choice and a total knockout.

Shop of the Month: Reiss
Reiss Spring/Summer collection is fab. Their dresses would have to be the highlight: I love the denim and white halter frocks, but would probably go for the silk drape pocket dress. And if want to channel a bit of Miss Bradshaw this summer but can't afford her Halston Heritage pieces, I highly recommend Reiss version of Carrie's outfit!

Case in Point: best of men's shoe brands
Sutor MantellassiI'm not sure if many men read my blog, but hoping that maybe their female friends will take note of the hottest men's shoe brands out there! I'm no connoisseur of men's fashion, but I do appreciate beautifully crafted shoes. Unfortunately on the streets of most cities (including Dublin) men's choice of footwear leaves a lot to be desired....Just picture those square-toe heavy atrocities...yep..those.... So with my blog post I'm hoping to make this world a better place by eliminating one pair of hideous shoes at a time. My step dad was my to-go-to person for getting tips on men's footwear. He mentioned two brands among his favorites: Tanino Crisci and Sutor Mantellassi - both Italian shoe makers. Among American brands he goes for Cole Haan where you can find horse leather footwear. I realize that not everyone can spend £600 on Taninos, so instead I browsed the web for more affordable versions. In my view Kurt Geiger and Loake have the best selection. Oh and please forget the Church's- according to my step dad they are super heavy and rarely comfortable. So next time your man/friend/brother argues that splurging on a pair of shoes is a waste of time and money, tell him that shoes is among the first things women look at )P

Purchase of the Month: Tommy Hilfiger Booties
I found these suede open-toe booties online awhile back and have been thinking of getting them ever since! Tommy Hilfiger store on Grafton street has finally got these in stock in khaki and black suede. I went for the khaki color and I'm absolutely in love with them! Will wear my booties tomorrow with blue cuffed pants from Zara...but haven't yet figured out which top to wear )P - decisions decisions....

Fantasize: Miu Miu Spring/Summer RTWEconomize: Zara May Lookbook
I adore Zara's May lookbook: particulalry loving the pink pantsuit, floral bustier, and this whimsical blue dress. It's no-brainer I'd go for High Street version of Miu Miu's cat print )P.
