This past week I spent my days catching up on Russian TV programs and was mortified to see Anna Chapman, aka modern day Mata Hari, appear on practically every show. This woman is being glorified as some sort of post Cold War hero. She is going to have her own TV show and was appointed to the public council of Young Guard of United Russia party. I mean really? It appears that a wide range of seductive photos, questionable SMS exchange, and deportation elevates you to a status of a national hero. Don't spies keep a low profile after being exposed? apparently not.
