I've long admired Sofia's style. Her looks are always simple but never boring. Sofia often sticks to monochrome classics. Love her LV alligator clutch and red carpet LBDs. She proves that less is definitely more.

I've discovered a hot new label: Pennyblack - part of MaxMara fashion group. Unfortunately there are no stores in Ireland but I found their latest collection on Yoox.com. I think my love for costume jewelry is pretty obvious at this stage. Nothing beats the excitement (well few things) of discovering a hot new label. Alice Menter's exquisite neck pieces and bracelets are definitely my best discovery! On the High Street nothing beats Cos' and Topshop's fashion bling. I wasn't mad about Kurt Geiger's new costume jewelry line launched in 2011. And Butler and Wilson continue creating gorgeous and inexpensive pieces.

On the hunt for vintage alligator and snakeskin clutches
I cured my xmas cabin fever by checking out all of ebay's vintage alligator and snakeskin clutches. I resorted to ebay, after discovering the price tags of croc and python arm candies pictured below. Iconic Nancy Gonzalez alligator bags start at $1000. Snakeskin is definitely more affordable. Angel Jackson, Cala and Beirn all make gorgeous snakeskin clutches and wallets that won't break the bank. Anyhow, I decided to scout Ebay and other vintage sites for the most appealing reptilian classics.

So my advice is to stick to ebay. You can get a gorgeous snakeskin or crocodile skin vintage bag under £80 (appx $120). Be careful not to go for crocodile print, but crocodile skin. Judith Leiber and Devi Kroell would be definite investment pieces (although they are more expensive than 'unknown' make finds). Be also on a lookout for beautiful vintage italian snakeskin bags. Unfortunately vintage Hermes and Gucci will cost you an arm and a leg, I'd spend that money on a modern classic :). Happy bidding!

Get the Look: floor length feather skirt as seen on Jenna Lyons
Jenna's outfit at Met Gala this year was among my all-time favorite red carpet looks. Massimo Dutti's plume feather skirt paired with a cashmere sweater is a definite deja vu. We thank them for recycling something that fabulous and at a "reasoble price".
