Milla Jovovich in Elie Saab
Angelina and her right leg in Versace
This year there were two Red Carpet knockout looks: Angelina (and her oh so controversial right leg...NOT) and Milla. The latter opted for a classic one-shoulder gown and killed it! Angelina was widely criticized for exposing too much leg...well she wasn't attending the Vatican Convention - was she? Besides, all the leg talk drew attention away from her gorgeous Versace gown.
I didn't have the patience to pick out the worst dressed - overall Oscars fashion this year was one big snooze fest.

What do these three ladies have in common? A. They've all been snapped by Tommy Ton during London Fashion Week. B. They are wearing a biker/leather jacket underneath their coats. Peekaboo Biker is the new Biker :)

Alicia Keys in Alexandre Vauthie
Forget Gaga's egg entrance, Nicky Minaj in her wacky costumes, and latest red carpet attention craver: Sasha Gradiva in her gun costume (Freaky)! The Best Dressed of the Grammy's 2012 were ladies who wore black! You can never go wrong with beautifully tailored LBD.

This spring designers aren't holding back: there is an explosion of prints, metallics and unusual shapes. I don't see all of it translating to the real world. Peplum dresses, for example, are the least flattering shape ever invented. So are the metallic leggings....you gotta be size 6 to look good in those. However, there are pieces you can pick up now on the High Street, which will update your wardrobe and set you up for the new season. I've listed the key trends worth following below. The ultimate Spring look would be floral blouse paired with monochrome canary/fuchsia slouchy pants OR monochrome t-shirt with floral pants - with a shopper and ankle strap heels.
1. Techno Florals
Mary Kantrantzou for Topshop dress
Mary Kantrantzou Spring/Summer RTW
Olivia Palermo in maxi skirt
Prada S/S 2012
3. The Slouchy Floral Pants
Matthew Williamson S/S 2012
Diane Von Furstenberg S/S 2012
River Island pants
4. The Ankle Strap Sandals
J.W. Anderson for Aldo
Maria Sharapova for Cole Haan

Karl raised a few eyebrows the other day after calling Adele "a little too fat" and Russian men "very ugly". Spoken by a man who wasn't exactly the fittest creature on the planet before his diet, and not exactly the Apollo today. Word of Advice: Look in the mirror before you speak and stick to what you do best: Chanel.

It's a lucky day for US consumers and very unlucky for those who can't get their hands on Jason Wu for Target collection (including moi)! I'm loving the summer frocks and flirty blouses! The whole collection is adorable.
Paul Smith Spring/Summer 2012
Tory Burch Spring Summer 2012
I'm mad about all of the above eye-popping loafers! I'm also glad to see my long adored shoe label Pollini gain popularity in the US and UK. Another great store to snatch this season's hottest footwear is Russel & Bromley. They have introduced their classic patent loafers in pink!
The bravest and most ambitious of Fashion week goers have been spotted lately in massive mongolian sheepskin coats. Beige and green furs maybe bold statements for Paris Fashion week...but would be too impractical for my conventional life. Hence, I'd opt for classic black gilet/leather jacket (Helmut Lang as seen on Nicole Richie). I'd recommend gilets from Joseph, Vince and Karl Donoghue. All range from £500 and above.
Fantasize: Giles Spring/Summer 2012
Economize: M&S Autograph £149
Metallic is huge this spring season and I love how Giles paired a simple white Tshirt with a laser-cut leather pencil skirt. If you can't afford the original, go for M&S version :).

I'm still obsessed with silk blouses! This spring I would go for blouses in bright colors! The below are my favorite picks, which are definitely worth the investment.
