After I edited the blog post on top investment handbags, I thought of writing about investment shoes. As you can see I concentrated on pumps and avoided sandals. Call me boring, but I don't buy expensive sandals. I save my money for classic pumps and ballet flats:). That said, Pollini is brilliant for summer wedges and Jimmy Choo for glitzy sandals. From the list above, I own black RonRon, black patent Agnes and Rockstud; and nude patent Bianca. With the exception of Rockstuds, all the shoes are comfortable and take me from day to night. The amount of compliments I receive when wearing Rockstuds makes up for discomfort ;). I'm not adventurous with colors - black and nude shoes go with every outfit. I also prefer patent leather which seems to be more scratch resistant. Jimmy Choo Agnes, Abel, and Manolo BB are timeless investment purchases which you can wear anywhere from business meetings to cocktail parties. I often think of Christian Louboutin as WoW factor shoes and wear mine only for special occasions. Contrary to what I said re getting maximum mileage from your designer handbags, I would advise to take good care of your designer shoes. Even the best cobbler in Dublin couldn't repair my RonRon's heels after a night of dancing. I now try to be super careful and avoid walking around cobblestone streets in my lovely "investment" footwear.
